The Riverside JV lost to Waynesfield-Goshen 24-26,24-26,16-25. Heather Titus had 17 pts. and Bailey Oliver had 11. The Varsity beat Waynesfield 25-8,25-16,25-23. Courtney Hurley Had 15 pts, 3 aces and she did a really nice job in the setting position for us. Taylor Leiss had 9 pts, and was 5/6 hitting with 5 kills. Erica Snapp had 7 pts, and 3 kills, Brooklynn Purtee was 9/11 hitting with 9 kills and 5 pts., Amelia Carter was 5/10 hitting with 5 kills, and 3 blocks. Sarah Schindewolf had six points and did a nice job in her first year as the libero. Victoria Thompson had 4 kills and 3 blocks. The girls came out on fire and did a really nice job all around. This was a good NWCC win to start the season with. I was very pleased with the teamwork and attitude that the girls came out with. They all stepped up and were aggressive in there positions.. We got a little sloppy in the third game but regrouped and came back for the win. We play again on Saturday at 1000am at Triad.
