The Lady Gophers defeated Bettesville Bobcats in 5 matches on Saturday. Leading scorers were: 21 points with 5 aces, Sam Smith with 6 points and 5 aces, Courtney Cobb with 10 points, Kelsey Seiler with 8 points. Leading in kills were: 16 kills, 10 kills, Malana Ledley with 4 kills.  Morgan Mercer and Kelsey Seiler had a strong setting performance. Over all the girls played well and played together as a team. This was our first win and hopefully this game will help us build onto more wins. In games 1-3 we had some let downs and that is where we need to be able to pull together and rally back. In games 2-4-5 we played extreme well, we moved well, talked well, and were very positive. We started off the 5 match with a strong serving performance by Morgann Mercer and that help set the tone of the match and we continued to dominate from there on. We are back in action at Hardin Northern on Monday, JV starting at 6.
