On Saturday the Lady Gophers defeated VanLue in 5: 25-19, 18-25, 25-22, 25-27, 15-5 Leading scorers were: Paige Guenther 12 points, Katie Copp with 15 points and 4 aces, Malana Ledley 9 points, 1 Kelsey Seiler 15 points and 3 aces, Courtney Cobb 12 points Leading with kills Paige Guenther with 21 kills, Malana Ledley 10 kills, Kelsey Seiler with 17 assists and Morgann Mercer with 5 assists. Paige Guenther added 7 blocks. The girls played well today. They kept battling to the finish and were able to pick up the win. They played well together and had positive attitudes. This is a positive for us, since we go right into tournaments on Tuesday. Hopefully we can build off the win, get a win Monday night and pick up a win on Tuesday against Temple. The Gophers will play Monday nite against Cory Rawson. This is also senior night. JV starts at 6.
